What it usually is
- The code can point to pressure, a sensor or ignition. The meaning depends on the model.
- Only a licensed technician can say what the fault is.
- A smell of gas is different: that is an emergency.
What you can safely do now
- If you smell gas, do not use switches or flames, open the windows, leave, and call the gas emergency line.
- If there is no smell of gas, leave the boiler as it is.
- Do not try to adjust it. A licensed technician has to see it.
When it's urgent
A smell of gas, smoke, or a flame where it should not be: leave and call. A code on the screen, with no smell, can wait for a technician.
